Producing cigarettes & other tobacco products, beside manufacturing foreign brands on behalf int'l Companies, EC is a nearly monopoly with market (share of around 90%). It produces more than 75 billion cigarettes each year. Operates 21 factories nationwide. EC is in progress to relocate to new complex at 6th of October Governorate (2012). Renewed contract for production joint venture with BAT forseven years. Conducting the final stages for new plant located in 6th of October (total cost of the project is 5500). The decision to establish a real estate investment company was deferred.'AA' rating given by MERIS 82711 million cigarettes/day(FY2009/2010).
