Est. in 1992 with the other state holdings. Divested its real estate
portfolio taken over by another state holding, while managing to
sell most of its cinema industry assets.
Counts the most prestigious portfolio of hotel properties in Egypt,
together with prime land, the latter being sold to major Arab &
Egyptians investors to develop premium touristic projects.
Core portfolio of the holding is .EGOTH., which represents to date the largest hotel owner company in Egypt, with hotels, resort &
floating hotels totaling 34 properties.
Owns five affiliated companies, three of them are 100% owned:
EGOTH, El Maamoura Co. for Construction & Tourist
Development, and Misr Co. for Sound & Light and two
companies: Misr Travel Co. and Misr Hotels Co.) are owned by
99.85% and 50.016%, respectively.
